Winter in Salmon Arm

This was a scene in the countryside outside Salmon Arm, British Columbia where we lived for a while. For some reason, this has become one of my recent favorites. (Or favourites if you are from Canada.)

(I usually paint from photos I have taken, but I found some Photoshop filter sets that modify the photo with some very cool watercolor and pen and ink effects. I used to like working on pen and ink sketches. I then use that revision of my photo as my new reference photo.)
